Eleanor kept staring at him in bewilderment. Where was she? Why was he with her? Where was everyone else? Didn’t she go on a hike with others?
A thousand questions began to run through her mind and she furrowed her brows and hissed in pain when the skin around her wound moved. Seeing her hissing, Rickard rushed to her side.
“What happened? Are you in pain? Tell me,” he asked and saw her staring at him in confusion.
“Where am I?” Eleanor asked him and when her gaze fell on the other man she realized he was a doctor and she was in a hospital.
“You’re in the hospital. Do you recall anything?” Rickard asked her carefully.
Eleanor stared into his blue eyes and nodded. “I remember getting lost and then my foot slipped… and now I am awake in a hospital. That’s all.”
