“Gem Inc? What?” Eleanor exclaimed in disbelief and her eyes went wide.
“Yes, Gem Inc. Mr. Bernard Hansen wanted to discuss an offer with you if you could come on Wednesday.” The woman said and Eleanor frowned. Were they joking? They just fired her and now they were calling her back. Were they crazy?
“What? An offer?” She almost laughed.
She heard a click on line then a male voice spoke to her. “Eleanor Harrington, this is Bernard Hansen speaking to you.” Eleanor sucked in a breath listening to him and her eyes went wide. “I wanted to discuss an offer with you as my assistant had told you. I also wanted to offer my apologies at the appalling behavior of one of our officials. I hope we can meet soon.”
Eleanor couldn’t believe her ears. Was a man that big apologizing to her? She gulped
