Callie pov

it had been a few months since i been in this small town, it was almost time for me to get packed and get moving, i didn't want the other packs to notice i was here even though some knew i was, they had left me alone knowing I only worked long enough to save money and move on, it was nice not living in a pack i could do what i wanted with no rules, but i had missed Adam so much, I even called from a phone booth once and he answered,

“Hello, hello who is this, i don't have your number on my contact list,” i stood there listening to him talk, when i heard a woman's voice i had hung up the phone, i did not want her to know it was me, that was a month ago and i had not called back, yes i miss him but i needed to get over him, the next town i will see if i can find a doctor, a doctor like us and see if they could see what the baby is, i wanted and needed to know if the baby is okay, i have been eating healthy had gone on runs so she could get stronger, i felt no pain when i shifted so i knew the baby was safe, and that Lita would protect her, i sighed when i told my boss i was moving that this was my last day, i knew she was human she wouldn't understand why i was leaving so quickly,

‘Roxanne, im sorry, but this is my last day working, i got to keep moving on, but i will come back to visit when I can.” she gave me a worried look, and said,

‘Callie honey, what are you running over, i have noticed you look over your shoulder like your looking for something, are you okay, where will you go?”

I sighed not wanting to get into detail, I just knew i needed to get going before anyone finds out that i was on my own without a pack,

‘Roxanne, i am okay, i'm not running from anything i promise, i am just needing to get going, but i promise i will be back to visit,”

she nodded and went behind her counter and pulled out a huge package handing it me,

‘Listen, i had told you i was going to give you a bonus, maybe this is more then you need, but i want you to take it, just please don’t lie to me, who ever your running from, this will get you far enough away so they won’t find you okay, now get going, call me when you settle, but do not tell me where you're at just incase they come looking for you,”

she handed me the package, i didn’t look inside of it, i was too worried to see what it was, I hugged her thanking her for everything she had done for me, my baby kicked as i walked out of the shop, got into my jeep with it full of my belongings, i had to get going or i will never go, i started my jeep up and headed out of town, Roxanne was a sweet human, i just did not want to put her into any danger,

Adam pov

it had been a few months now since Nikki had been here she had proved that she was a strong and good luna, she was smark and witty and always had me laughing, we had finally mated last week i marked her she had marked me, but i still felt like something was missing, i knew what it was but i had to put her out of my mind, my phone had wrung a month ago i didn’t know the number but my wolf was going crazy to answer the call so i did, all i heard was breathing on the other end, i knew that breathing, i wanted to hear her voice just to know that if she was okay, but before i could say anything to her Nikki had came into the office she must had heard her voice because she had hung the phone up, damn i said lowly, hanging the phone up. i looked up at Nikkie asking her what was going on, she growled at me, demanding to know who was on the phone that i had to suddenly hang the phone up, i looked at her like she was crazy, i only shook my head and started reading my emails, she stalked over to my desk and stood in front of me with her arms over her chest like a little bratty child,

“Who the hell was on the phone that you suddenly hung up when i came into this room Adam?”

I slowly looked up at her getting up from my chair, i backed her up against the wall grabbed her by her ponytail so she would look right into my eyes when i told her this,

“You listen to me Nikki, i am the f*****g alpha of this pack, i talk to whom ever i want to talk to on my phone, do not ever demand anything from me ever again is that clear, besides, they called me, they didnt say anything just hung the f*****g phone up, so it might had been a scam call so chill the f**k out, there are no other women i am only you,”

i let go of her hair, she smacked me i was a little stunned, i recovered fast as i slapped her back, she grabbed her face with tears in her eyes,

“Doesn’t feel good does it, don't hit me Nikki, next time you put your hands on me, you will be going back to your old pack, mates do not put hands on each other, keep that in your head,” after that day, she had been good, she keeps me smiling and laughing, i adored her, loved? im not sure yet, but i knew i liked her alot, a few more months went by and it was already a year Callie has been gone for a year now, the scent in the old room was gone now, but I never moved back into the room, to many memories and i just wanted to keep it that way, I knew me and Nikki had not had s*x in a few weeks because i was so busy working and she was always outside training she was a little rough with the new recruits some even complained about it, so i had to tell her to calm down a little, she agreed so there was no more complaints about it, one night i was still in the office doing paperwork, i didn’t even realise what time it was when i was finally done, i finally set back to relax, i poured me a glass of whisky and started drinking it, it burnt my throat but tasted so good, i thought it was the drink that was hurting my chest, it felt like a knife was stabbing me right in my stomach, Rex growled, i mean snarling growling like drool coming out of his mouth, he was pissed, Mate, mate is being disloyal, he had learned to love her as i did, i did not belive him at all, but i was hurting so badly that i fell on the ground, he took over got up and walked out of the office, i was watching through his eyes, he sniffed her out, his hand was on the door knob,

‘Rex let me do this, this might be a mistake, she loves us she's loyal,” he grunts as he lets me back out, i knew whatever that is behind this door better not be her, i slowly opened the door and what i saw pissed me the f**k off, i walked over grabbed the man by the head of his hair and threw him off of her, she screamed thinking she would never get cought,

‘Did you f*****g forget that we marked each other, i could feel you being disloyal b***h”
