Chapter 28

[Ivory pov}

i was listening to my dad, what the heck did he mean danger, i started looking around but i didn't see anything at all that meant danger, but i heard Lexy for the first time in years i had heard her voice, she sounded so worried and concern,

“Ivory, it’s me Lexy, I am so very sorry, the goddess wants us to shift, i will try and make this as painless as possible,”

“Wait, what, i'm not ready for this, but i couldn't stop it, it was starting just as my dad stopped talking, i let out the most horrific bloody scream i had ever done, i felt my arms break first, then my legs second, i fell to the ground screaming for help, begging my mom to help it make it stop, she ran over trying to sooth me,

“honey it's going to be okay, i know it hurts, trust me it hurt like hell when i first shifted, it will soon be over i promise” i felt like it took forever, my legs started shifting to where they should be, my arms did as well, i looked at my face when it started bulging out, i let out another scream when i felt my teeth growing long, the ears came to my head, as the tail from the back. I was itching all over when the fur started to grow all over my body, i felt like i was laying on the ground looking up at everyone, so i stood up and realised i had four legs, my hearing was doubled, i could hear the owls in the trees my eyesight was doubled as well, this was really cool, I heard Lisa whisper, Fire wolf, what the heck is a fire wolf, i heard Lexy say,

“it is us, we are a red wolf, that has fur like the colour of fire, we are special Ivory, its the reason why we shifted so early, are you ready to shift back now”?

‘It depends, will it hurt even worse when we shift back?”

“I am afraid so my human, lets begin,” I howled out in pain as the shift went into reverse, it hurt like hell, wait, you did not hear me say hell, my mom and dad would freak out, they have been trying to raise me the right way, but sometimes, i do slip up and cuss, all teenagers do that, so i'm not the only one, It took a little bit for me to figure out how to shift back, once i did, like i said it hurt like hell, it took all my energy, and i couldn't handle the pain, Lexy took over shifting the rest of the way for me to be human again, all i heard was my father yelling do not look at my daughter, I felt being picked up and rushed someplace, i was out like a light and all i saw was blackness, my body was weak now, and somehow i knew i needed rest,

{Callie pov}

I watched in horror as my daughter shifted into her wolf, i knew she was in so much pain, if i could i would take that pain away from her, she was just so young, she hasn't trained, she has asked to train, but i was worried she might get hurt, Adam kept telling me to let her, she needed to learn, but i was just being to stubborn, Now if i knew she was going to shift this early i would had her train with the best of them, she was already a good fighter, i heard her screams it was breaking my heart to see the tears in her eyes begging us to make the pain go away, once she shifted, my jaw dropped to the ground, a fire wolf how could this be? her fur was the colour of fire, i knew she would be special when she shifted but not this special, i knew she would have powers, and we would have to keep her protected from others, if they find out that she had any kind of power they will try and take her, She started shifting back letting out a painful Howl right into the night, i knew her wolf took over the shifting, it was just painful for her, Adam growled telling the boys not to look at his daughter, i hurried to put a sheet over her, Adam picked her up rushing to the pack doctors, our daughter had passed out she was not waking up, Dear Goddess please do not take my daughter, she is all i have in this life, she has kept me alive when i wanted to end it with everything that had been going on, please do not take my daughter away from me,” then i heard the goddess voice,

it was so tender and peaceful, that it calmed me before she said anything,

“Dear child, I am not taking her from you, do not worry she just sleeps, she is healing from the shift, she will be awake in a few days.” then that was all i heard from the moon goddess, when we got to the pack doctors, Doctor Brandon hurried to take her to the back to put an iv and a heart monitor on her, they put a gown on her so she wouldn't be cold, and placed a warm blanket over her as well, i did not want to leave her side, some of the kids came into the room to see if she was okay, Lisa and Jesse, with paula and Greg, Jesse asked me,

‘Is she okay, i never seen a wolf like that, she was beautiful,” i watched him look over at her, Lisa watched on, but she didn't seem to mind, these kids were to young to understand about the mate bond, and none of them wanted to grow up too fast, they wanted to enjoy their teenage years. I watched as Lisa and Paula walk over to where she was laying and hugged her, they spoke at the same time,

“Listen my friend, we will be waiting when you wake up, your our best friend, get your rest heal then come back to us, they both hugged her and kissed her cheek, then left the room, Jesse walked over next,

“Ivory, i know you can hear me, i read things like this people can still hear the people that talk to them, i want to say how sorry i am that i hurt you and bullied you, come back Ivory, he kissed her cheek, her father growled i elbowed him in the stomach, i heard him grunt, Greg walked over and set his gift beside her,

‘When you wake up, you can open it, it's an anklet you can wear around your ankle, hurry in come back, because i know Paula is going to drive me nuts until you do,” he to kissed her cheek, Adam growled again, and again i elbowed him in the stomach, he grunted again and said ouch, i think i did it a little to hard, we stayed with her until the doctor told us visiting hours are over, but if we want we can stay in the next room, so we could be near our daughter, we both agreed, there were two couches in the next room, one on each side, with warm blankets and pillows, i didn't want to leave my daughter, but me waiting and hoping is not going to bring her back any faster, Ivory just please whatever your doing, please don't leave us honey, i know it's selfish of me wanting you to hurry up, so just take your time honey, we will be here when you wake up, what scares me the most is what happens if she never wants to wake up, tears came down my face, i felt Adam near me he grabbed me and held me close to him, it had been years, so many years for him to hold me like this, he whispered to me, that our daughter was a strong girl, she will come back to us, i know she will, i felt wetness on my head, i knew he shed a few tears as well, this is as close we have been in serval years, i liked it, but i didnt want to give him any hope, my wolf wimpered wanting to be closer to him, but now is not the time, and she knew this, i gently pulled back from him, telling him we should get our rest, she will need us more then ever, he agreed and went to lay down on one of the couches, i laid on the other one, i wanted so much to be close to him, but i just couldn’t not right now, I was just to worried about Ivory,
