Ritchie wasn"t sure what she had assumed the diplomat school cafeteria was going to look like. Something cold and formal, like the school itself. Or, frankly, like the two food settings she had already experienced at the school, if out on the patio. But this wasn"t a meet and greet event, and it definitely wasn"t a learning experience in navigating unfamiliar protocols. It was just the daily grind of cadets taking a refueling break in the middle of a long, exhausting day. It was actually really nice. Warm and welcoming. The room itself was cozy by diplomat school standards. It was built on a lower level with no garden access, although a row of windows high along the walls provided ample sunlight. But those windows were all sealed glass, no cool breeze and no floral scents were wafting
