“Good morning,” the host beamed at us. “I hope you had a great sleep the previous night.” We stared at the screens grudgingly. Every word that came out of the vibrant host’s mouth seemed like someone rubbing salt on our wounds. There was a hidden bitterness in his words that wasn’t as obvious to others. We all knew the nature of the game that we were playing, yet he cruelly asked us about having a good night's sleep. Out of all the others, I knew that I was the only one to take notice of the crudeness which lay behind his smile. To make matters worse, he counted each of our heads and then commented, “It is so tragic to see that only twenty of us are left to play the remaining six rounds.” ‘Isn’t this what you guys wanted?
