I didn’t know how long they let me sleep for, before a cool hand brushed across my cheek. My eyes fluttered open, focusing in on my grandmothers pale skin as she stared back at me. I propped myself up on my elbow, blinking a few times to clear the sleep from my eyes. “What time is it?” I mumbled, an already tired yawn escaping my lips. “Later than it should be,” she returned, shuffling closer to me as she perched on the edge of my bed. Her hand rest firmly on my cheek now as I stared up at her. The disappointment was on clear display across her face, sending my memories of the events of last night back to me in a rush. Finn.
