Cam maintained a sour mood for nearly a week, starting with their awkwardly silent drive back to school and continuing consistently in the few times the two men were awake and in the common areas of the apartment at the same time. By the time the next weekend rolled around, Nolan was more than eager to get to the house party and blow off some steam. He hadn’t talked with Cam about whether he was still going or not, so it was a surprise to Nolan that Cam walked up to him while he was writing down some songs on the DJ’s request list and handed him a beer. “Sorry, man.”
