A short time later, Rick pulled his truck around to the backside of Hometown Hardware and parked in the lumberyard. He got out and held the truck door open so Nolan could slide out. On their way into the store, Rick stopped to tell an older man wearing a green reflective vest and overalls exactly how much and what type of lumber he would need. “So, how does that work, exactly?” Nolan asked once they were inside. “Well, I told Randy what to load up into the truck.
