They made their way back to the Shadow Rock pack, with a trunk full of advanced spy gear. Antonio was driving the car, with Mackenzie in the passenger’s seat, and Brayden and Madison in the back.
Maddie and Bray were sharing an earpiece and listening to music, laughing. Tony turned his attention to Mackenzie, who was staring out of the window.
“You didn’t have to do that back there, you know, I can handle myself.” He said, sounding annoyed.
“Yes, I know, but he made me so angry, I couldn't help myself. Got damn lucky I’m not in a cell.” She chuckled. “And a ‘thank you’ would have sufficed.” She said, looking at him pointedly.
