Everything changed half a year ago when Elena was still a well-born girl, sheltered and loved.
But later, a serious car accident turned Elena's mother into a vegetable when she was on the way back from the airport.
Just when Elena was still shocked by the grievous news, her father showed up with his mistress and his illegitimate daughter, throwing a paternity test at Elena and claimed, "You are not my daughter, Elena. You are a bastard! I want you to move out of here today. The Olsen family will have nothing to do with you in the future!"
Elena was overcome with grief when the Olsens put her out on the street. She remembered that it was raining all that time, and soon, she fainted in the rain. When she woke up again, she was already in Clayton's villa.
"You are going to live here, and I will take care of you down the road as your legal guardian," Clayton said to Elena when they first met.
Clayton was indifferent and distant. He barely came back once a week. In his villa, Elena lived a comfortable and sheltered life, being taken care of by the servants and butler. It seemed that everything was back to before her mother's accident.
But Elena knew that something had changed.
During that time, everyone in the school laughed at Elena and bullied her, only Diane always stood by her side and spoke for her.
Maybe that's why Elena trusted Diane so much in her previous life! She thought that Diane really valued her as a friend, but in the end, it turned out that Diane was just using her to get close to Clayton.

"Where are we going to, Mr. Warren? Hospital or villa?" the driver asked while starting the engine.
"Take us home," Clayton said briefly and then took the laptop aside. It seemed that he never stopped being busy with work.
The driver glanced at Elena, wondering why she didn't have a row with Clayton today, which was pretty rare.
But Elena didn't notice the driver at all, because she was focusing on the screen of Clayton's laptop. It was the Jade Tour Program!
Elena's eyes instantly lit up when she saw the title on the screen.
She had spent her previous life fighting Clayton for being with Andrew. She didn't care how much she lost because she believed that it was worth fighting for true love, no matter what it cost.
But now, Elena would not be so stupid. In this life, she was going to live for herself!
She had heard that there were two things most valuable in this world. One was love and the other money. If one couldn't be loved or get rich, he was a total loser in his life.
Elena had lost badly because of love once. Then in this life, she would spend her life gaining wealth and freedom for herself!
Being rich meant that she could have options, and that she was free to go wherever she wanted. If she was strong enough, she might be able to compete with Clayton and get rid of his control.
"It's so boring to stay at home, Clayton. Can you take me with you on this jade tour?" Elena asked, looking at Clayton with a puppy face. The thought of her sitting on a pile of money made her feel excited!
According to Elena's memory of her previous life, there was a small and unknown town in Ashton where people live peaceful life.
However, the town was changing recently.
Not long ago, a villager accidentally found a green stone in the town. After the test, they found out that the stone was actually jade.
Therefore, the town attracted lots of attention. For now, there were very few people who knew about this because the news had not spread yet.
"Can you take me with you, Clayton? I'll listen to you, I promise. And I will stay out of trouble," Elena begged, biting her lower lip and staring at him with her sparkling eyes.
Since Elena had known about this, how could she miss this opportunity? No matter what, she had to have a try at convincing Clayton this time.
But Clayton was too engrossed in his job. He kept trying the keyboard and didn't even raise his head when he said, "No."
Clayton refused her so quickly that Elena felt frustrated. She had known it was hard to persuade Clayton with a few words, and he wouldn't agree to take her with him just because she begged.
The atmosphere in the car instantly became tense.
But Elena didn't intend to give up. She peeked at Clayton from time to time, thinking about what to do next.
Because Elena had always been against Clayton, which annoyed Clayton, so he sent his bodyguards to keep an eye on Elena and protect her when she was out. When Elena was at home, she would be taken care of by the servants. No matter what she did, Clayton would know it immediately.
In conclusion, it would be impossible if she wanted to slip out of the house unseen and leave for the town herself. She had to let Clayton take her to that town willingly!
No matter how difficult it was, she had to persuade him.
"Clayton, can you just..." Elena spoke, trying to draw his attention again.
