Elena followed Lorna to her office. Ashton High School was a posh school and teachers separately had their own offices.
As soon as Lorna entered the office, she forced a smile and said sweetly, as if she was a gentle and responsible teacher, "Lena, I didn't mean to say that. It's just that you are late every day, and I'm really worried about you. I know I was harsh on you. I think I owe you an apology. I'm so sorry, Lena."
Although Lorna was still pale, she was not as mean and bitter as before.
