Layla, Emmanuel and Roman go to my house at about 5:15 they wanted to spend as much time with me as possible, my brother and his mate walk in and we all steer waiting for them to tell us what they are having and my brother couldn’t keep it much more he said that they are going to have a boy, that was excited because he was not only going to be alpha he is going to be a warlock to and the first one in the family. My brother took the time to thank my friends for being there for me during the time I was with Karter. 

They told him they would always have my back, no matter what. Just then my brother gets a mind-link from the patrol shack saying the Karter Finn and his Beta Nichol Hoff are here my brother told them to let them in we all sat in the sitting room next to the dining room waiting my brother told us all to act like we don’t know what is going on and my brother will see how Karter does this whole trying to make me his mate, I gave Dawson permission to question him about our relationship and the abuse but he not allowed to put his hands on him same applied to my parents Emmanuel and Roman were fair game if it came to it.

We were waiting and Karter and his Beta Nichol finally made it to the packhorse as soon as we saw them everyone in the room let out a growl, Quinn growled louder and louder I had to tell her to stop she tells me she cannot stand the sight of him I told her and me both I told her we just must get through dinner, and we won’t ever have to see him again. 

She huffed and went back to her corner roller I eye. I could not help but giggle at her. She was such a baby; He walked towards me with this smile on his face. He got about a foot in front of me and Roman, Dawson, and Emmanuel all jumped up. I looked at them and they stopped. He lifted my hand, kissed it, and said. Said.

“Hi, my love, oh how I have missed you.”

 I growled and told said.

 “I haven’t missed love. What are you doing here?”

I asked Dawson if we can go seat at the table now dinner is ready, and I want to spend time with you. What anyway, friends? He nodded and said we all can seat and get dinner and we will talk afterward. You could tell him, and his Beta was both uncomfortable sitting at the table with all of us. Suddenly, my sister walks in a Nichol and. Suddenly both yell out “mate”

I shake my head and. Suddenly looks at me like I just grew four heads because I growled at her and her newfound mate? 

It wouldn’t have been bad if he weren’t the beta of the man, I hated most in the world but again she can’t help who the goddess pair us with I looked at him and say I’m sorry she doesn’t know why I hated Karter, but she was going to find out tonight I don’t even think his beta knows he might lose him as well. They finally serve us dinner and Karter is trying to talk to Dawson. Dawson does not like to talk business at the table. He growls at Karter and tells him if he does not stop talking while we are trying to eat, he can leave and never return to the house again. Karter finally shut up, and we finished our meal. When finished, we all walked into the big sitting room, so we could sit here and try to laugh because we were all waiting for Karter to ask my brother for my hand. But Karter can never pass the test that Dawson is about to give him.

Dawson’s POV

“Karter, now please tell us all why you called me and asked to speak to me and my family about it. Better be good. We all are taking time from our day.”

 “Well, Alpha Dawson, I come here to ask you if I could ask for your sister Peyton's hand as my chosen Mate either of us has found our mates yet and I would like to be hers I love you very much and I and her have history.” 

“You love my sister.”

 I could not help but laugh at the man’s bold statement.

 “Alpha, what is so funny that you are laughing?”

 “Well, now Alpha Karter, what is so funny is that you claim to love my sister and I know about your past relationship with my sister. If you really love my sister like you claim you do in front of everyone here, please tell me what happened in your relationship for her to break up with you and for her to hate you and not want you around!”

Karter’s POV

What am I going to say I think I can produce a lie because no one except for me and her knowledge and those stupid mutt friends but who is going to believe a little lying w***e over and Alpha, I am going to tell him it is because I caught his sister sleeping around on me? 

“Alpha, me and your sister had a great relationship until about 6 months into it I caught f*****g some random guy and I told her, we are over and about a month later she came back begging me to take her back and I did, a few months later we were at a party, and I see her flirting with Alpha Roman and they were kissing and all over each other and that is when I told her we are over.”
