Wouldn't Waste My Time On You

Fleur remained like that for couple of minutes. Her life was really changing right in front of her and she can’t really do anything to stop the change beside accepting it with grace. Life is all about change anyway.

She should have seen this coming years ago. Felix was one of the most beautiful Omega in the pack, it was obvious that he would get mated at some point. And besides , Felix had loved Daniel for years so it wasn’t supposed to be surprising.

Guilt rested deep in her mind because she was not really happy about this change. She felt jealous and she knew that she shouldn’t. Whatever is happening is because that goddess luna had already planned everything for them. She should be happy for the people she loves the most. They are finally getting a life they deserved.

She pulled away from the hug and smiled brightly at Felix who was smiling at her too, his eyes turned crescent. His smile was infectious and he truly looked just as happy as he felt. It has been years of Felix since she has been listening to Felix gush over Daniel about how cool he was or about how his scent is just so amazing or how he feels safe with him. Finally now that he is getting the happiness that he deserved, Fleur decided to be happy for him.

“ Now tell me everything about the proposal.” She said as she sat on the stone near the lake and made Felix do the same. Laundry can wait for a while.

Apparently, Daniel , who seemed to be a cold hearted Alpha was a biggest sweetheart by heart it seems because he had proposed to Felix in the most romantic way possible.

He had taken him towards the open field with his self made cookies that Felix loved so much. They had spent some time there before he took him to show the new wooden House that he had made for their future and fleur was not surprised at all when Felix told that he was in a mess of tears.

“ And then he asked me to be his mate, Fleur and he stuttered so much while asking me that!” Felix laughed, eyes crinkling with stars. “ Stupid Alpha thought that I may refuse to mate him!” he laughed . Fleir joined him too because she knew that Felix would never reject Daniel. They talked for few more minutes.

Fleur could not even want to imagine herself in his shoes. She diverted her gaze to the water on the lake and tried to control her emotions. She felt as if she was losing Felix too once he got mated and be caught up in his own new life.

Fleur scoffed at that too as she looked up at the sky. It is too dark right now but it’s not like she wanted to go home just yet.

The atmosphere back at her home was filled with celebration . Her mother would be fussing over Rosie and Rosie would tell her how excited she is for getting mated.

It’s not like Fleur can find her peace of mind at the moment.

“ Knowing that he is known as one of the smartest and strongest Alpha of the pack, he is pretty dumb to think that you would refuse him.” She said with a laugh in her tone as she stood up and finally went where she had left her basket. She sat on her spot again as she heard Felix laugh again.

He was so happy. Well , anyone would be happy if they are in love, been courted properly and at the end getting mated with the same Alpha who did all of this for them. Even Felix honey scent was extremely sweet at the moment. He was practically radiating with happiness and fleur felt selfish for being jealous of his life.

“ I know right? But he had already planned everything.” He said and fleur turned to look at him. “ When we got back at my cabin, his parents were already there to welcome us .” Felix smile . “ We had a dinner together with everyone, his parents along with my parents.”

“ That’s sweet of him. He is a good Alpha. Not every Alpha do the tradition of taking proper measures to mate an Omega. Some Alphas just bite the Omega without their consent but Daniel had courted you for over one year, treated you well while you dated him.” She added and she knew that that was the truth. Not every Alpha is gentle like Daniel, some would forcefully take any Omega as their mate.

“ He never forced himself on me.” Felix giggled. They hadn’t had s*x even though they were dating for two years.

“ I didn’t need to know that , Felix. I don’t want to imagine you hanging on his knot.” Fleur rolled her eyes as she rubbed the soap on the dirty skirt. Felix blushed a deep crimson, he coughed and look away. Daniel was a old-fashioned Alpha after all.

“ Don’t. . . Don’t talk about knot so shamelessly, Fleur!” He whined as he buried his face in his palm and Fleur laughed and looked at him over her shoulder, the water is little cold . Winter is approaching soon. She sighed.

“ Why?” Fleur asked , teasingly .” It’s not like you never thought about his knot. After all, you would have the taste of it in three days.” She teased some more , enjoying the way his ears turned red some more.

“ Will you stop it, Fleur?” Felix whined again as he looked at the sky, the full moon is approaching and he just can’t wait for that night. He had waited quite long for this day. “ It’s not like I haven’t thought about it too.” He said and looked away from Fleur who smirked at him before looking at the lake again.

Just like every other Omega, Fleur too had thought about how it will feel to be in an embrace of a strong Alpha? How would it feel to be kissed by one? How would it feel to be scented by them? How would it feel to sleep in their arms and feel safe?

She knew that it was something that she would never know. She let out a sigh and looked at the moon again. Why was the moon goddess so cruel with just her? Aren’t all her children equal to her? Then why does Fleur feel so unloved and out casted?

“ Will you come with me tomorrow for selecting the fabric for my mating dress? I heard Sihyeon have some amazing new silk. And I also have to get it tailored by Freya before she gets too busy!” He pouted. “ My stupid Alpha proposed me too late! How am I supposed to get s dress done within three days?” He said with a pout.

“ Freya is amazing with her work and you know it. She would even stitch a dress for you at the last moment.” Fleur commented , finally done with the clothes . She picked up the basket of clothes and placed it back on her waist.

Freya was an Omega who was mated to the son of head Alpha, Eliot. Though, she didn’t have to work anymore for living, yet she wanted to continue doing tailoring because she loved experimenting with clothes and making the outcome beautiful and unique. Her clothes are the best and she is their friend too.

“ And yes, I will come with you to Sihyeon. Just tell me when you wanted to go.” She said and Felix visibly beamed at her making Fleur to smile back at him as well. She was happy that he is happy but she was just not happy with her own fate.

They walked back home side by side ,careful to not fall on the ground by tangling their feet in some vine of the trees . It was as Felix who was now holding the basket in his hands. It was already dark and many Alphas were still out, drinking away the night . Felix wanted to growl at each and every Alpha who dared to look at them. He wasn’t afraid for himself but rather of Fleur because he himself was drenched in the scent of dark cocoa which was the scent of Daniel. He had made sure to scent mark his Omega. And that is why no Alpha would even try to look at him . But the case with Fleur was different, her lavender scent would lure many wolves towards them. Sometimes Fleur can be too oblivious to such situations.

“ Where are you going little birds, at this hour of night?” one Alpha said and fleur recognised him as Matt and she frowned . He was directly standing in between their way, blocking them to move any further. He was standing way too close for her liking . She wanted him to be as far as possible from both of them. His type of Alphas are obnoxious and narcissistic who wouldn’t know to respect the decision made by the Omega, all they think is that they are superior and Omegas are nothing but dirt of their hands. Matt is the type of Alpha Fleur hates the most.

“ It’s none of your business, dickhead. . “ Felix spat a he looked at the Alpha with stern gaze. The Alpha scoffed at him.

“ Huh! Little one got tongue to say! “ he scoffed . “ but I can’t have fun with you so at least let me have some fun with your little friend here.” Matt said as he swapped his gaze up and down Fleur’s petite body. Fleur felt disgusted under his gaze.

“ In your dreams.” Fleur said as she felt disgusted by the older man’s gaze. “ let’s go.” She said and grabbed Felix’s arm to make him walk, but of course, Matt wasn’t someone who would just take the hint.

“ Playing hard to get , little bird?” Matt said and Felix immediately stood in front of her, blocking her way and Matt stepped away from Felix who was smelling so much of his Alpha. Matt pine scent was making both of the omega feel nauseous.

“ They wouldn’t waste their time on a dickhead like you, Matt. Accept it.” They heard someone say and Fleur as well as Felix let out a sigh of relief when they saw that it was Noah who was standing behind Matt with his hand on Matt’s shoulder in a painful grip.
