Happy reading ❤️) "Lost Princess has returned" I see an entire coven of witches fall on their knees before my fiance. She looks just as clueless as I am and we just stare at each other. "What the flying duck" Edgar mutters and in all honesty, that is exactly what I feel too. Witches! The damn witches! We have been rivals ever since I can remember. They say we were allies once upon a time but after the war, things took a very ugly turn. "Maddox!" Zelda squeals a little as she runs and stands behind me. I hold her hand and I see a woman standing up and extending her hand, trying to reach out towards Zelda. "Princess," she smiles wide in hope and I don't understand a thing. "She is not your princess" I say and the entire coven is looking at me as if they want to murder me. But I stand tall as I hide Zelda. I have sworn to protect her and that is what I will do even if it is the last day of my life. "Your princess might be out there somewhere, but that's not me" Zelda speaks out and stands beside me. Oh yeah. I have sworn to protect her but she has a history of admitting grown men in hospitals. Maybe she doesn't need my protection but she can protect herself. There were incidents where she protected me too. Damn I am starting to fall in love with her all over again. "No, Princess. It's you" the woman says again and now she is getting on my nerves. Her dark black hair is dancing to the wind and her eyes are filled with hope. Her hope is now Zelda. "Queen Jacqueline Graham was pregnant during the war. After the war ended we found King Kenneth Graham's body but not the Queen's. She fled the scene. With you in her belly" the woman explains. And just as I hear that name, my mind gives me flashbacks of a scene. A scene that I haven't told anyone. A scene that is etched in my mind in a solid way because there is no way I would forget something like that. . . . . "Maddox! Run!!!" I heard my dad scream and I took Kelsie's hand before I ran. Dad wants me to protect Kelsie and that is what I will do. That is what I must do. But I turn around one last time to see my dad and I witness someone stabbing him, as my father falls on his knees. "Jackie! Grab that boy. He is taking her" I hear the man who stabbed my dad scream at a lady who has her eyes on me. That was the last thing I saw before I ran into the woods. Kelsie couldn't run fast but she still tried. I need to protect my little sister. But just after five minutes the lady who saw us earlier caught us. She is standing before us. I stand stiff and hold my sister's hand tighter than ever. Little Kelsie starts crying because she doesn't know what is happening or why we are out here. Maybe she is scared. I "Please don't kill us" I tell her and I am ready to even plead with her to let my sister go. She can take me if she wants to. "I won't," she says and kneels down before us. She hugs both Kelsie and I. "Don't run this way. That way is safer and closer to your pack. No matter what happens, do not let go of your sister. You understand me?" She asks and I nod. "And don't tell anyone about this. Come what may. But do not tell anyone or your family will have to pay" the lady says and I nod, pulling Kelsie closer to me. "Good. Go" she says and pushes us to the other side before she runs off the other direction that Kelsie and I were supposed to go. And then I took Kelsie and ran in the other direction. By the nightfall dad reached us out and we were safe. . . . . . I recall the entire incident but somehow I couldn't recall her face. I know it was a lady. I know she helped us. I know she belongs to the enemy clan. But I just cannot recall what she looks like. "I think I saw her but I don't remember her face" I whisper and everyone looks at me. "Kelsie. Do you remember anything at all?" I ask her and she shakes her head. Of course. She was a little kid and she doesn't remember most of the stuff that happened at that time. "She pulled both Kelsie and I into a hug and told us to run. She saved our lives and ran the other direction. I remember everything but her face" I say. "Queen Jacqueline is a witch who mastered memory bonding. She can seep into a person's memory and erase what she likes. She must have cast the spell when she hugged you both" the woman who was trying to reach Zelda tells me. Alright. That's fascinating. Now that I know where Zelda comes from and who saved our lives, doesn't really make things any easier. These people are still the same people who waged a war against my people. My kingdom. My family. I lost my mother during the war. I had to take up responsibilities beyond my age and I was just a seven year old boy. My life was going very very smoothly. I won the war against hunters and my major strength was Zelda. She helped me the most and stood by my side. My wolf Ajax and I imprinted on her and we were ready to accept her for whoever she is. We just knew that she belongs to a supernatural race but we didn't know what. Now that we know, we have no answer. She doesn't just belong to our rivals. She is the Princess of our rivals.
