"And this, is my mate, Alan," Riley introduced him, smiling. "Alan, this is Damien."
"Damien?" Alan frowned, the smile on his face faltering. "I though Xavier said your name is Hayes."
"He must have," Damien offered a smile that did not reach his eyes. "But that man is dead now. I would prefer if you and everyone else would call me Damien. And it's a pleasure to meet you." He extended his hand towards Alan, who frowned, but took it.
"Nice to meet you too, Damien," he nodded, looking slightly awkward.
"Where's Xavier?"
"Oh, he went to talk to the Alpha," Riley replied. "To take his permission to let you stay in the pack house."
"Oh," Damien raised his eyebrows. "Do you think the Alpha will say yes?"
"Yeah, we're positive," Alan nodded, glancing at Riley. "Alpha owes him a favour.
