Josie's pov
After the pageant ended, Elias took me to an abandoned ship, parked on the shore.
“What is this?” My eyes were confused.
A smile flashed on his lips and he turned on a switch swinging beside him tied to a thin wire.
The whole ship glamoured up with lights.
“When did you plan all of this?” Tears filled my eyes.
“There's more…” Having said that, his finger pointed at the sky.
My gaze slowly shifted to the direction pointed by his finger, and the dark sky sparkled up with fireworks.
One after another…the fireworks kept blooming in the sky.
“Congratulations, Mrs. New face!” He spread both his arms.
Tears finally rolled down my eyes and my feet ran over to him.
My soul found a strange comfort in his arms, it felt like my only home.
