The same night…
Ruby's pov
Gabriel carried me to our bed and gently covered my body with a warm blanket.
His fingers brushed through my tears as he perched beside me.
“You should have told me!” His voice was filled with guilt.
He hugged me tightly and tears rolled down his eyes.
“I am so sorry for not being able to protect you when you needed me the most.”
“I am so sorry, Ruby.”
“I am really sorry!”
His lips pecked my cheeks and he rested his head on my shoulder.
*Deep breath
“You're not happy about the baby, right?” My mouth questioned his thoughts.
His eyes slowly met mine and silence replenished in the room.
That few minutes of silence was enough for me to grasp the situation…it wasn't like before, he was changed.
