Leo cut one of the pregnant women's wrists and brought her blood to me. I used that blood on my belly in order to fool Gabriel and the others.
A pregnant woman's blood was enough to make everyone believe in my story made up of lies. Gabriel would be able to smell my pregnancy.
His presence revealed himself in the darkness of that prison cell and tears rolled down his eyes.
“Ruby”
“Are you really pregnant?”
I was angry, very angry, I was in prison, yet he couldn't care less.
He moved closer and commanded the prison guards to free me.
On his instructions, the guards immediately opened the prison cell and my feet finally stepped out in the fresh air.
