Josie came to my room while I was crying alone between the sheets.
“Angel?”
“What's wrong?” Her eyes widened.
My fingers brushed through my tears and a smile appeared on my lips.
“Nothing…just missing home!” It was a lie.
She tucked my hair behind my ear and looked straight into my teary eyes.
“Don't hide it from me!”
“We're friends, remember?”
Her soft tone was enough to comfort my shattered soul, she was the light I have been searching for so long.
