I sent a text to Amara about me leaving because of an emergency, whereas another text to Talia to send a guard for her protection.
My feet went back home and it never felt so quiet as if everyone was gone.
“Talia?” My lips called her.
A few seconds later, she appeared.
“Where is everyone?” Even the living room was dim and empty.
“Something strange happened and they all went there, including Master Elias.”
“What happened?” My brows furrowed.
“Last night a few children were found dead inside a circle, it appears that those children were used in a black ritual.”
“What?” My eyes widened with shock.
“And a few days ago a woman's headless corpse was found by the lake.”
“All the dead bodies have the same one black cross mark on their head.”
“Someone is using black magic!”
