I had a bad feeling that I couldn’t shake. I should never have left Ryeka alone with Tyson and the muscle twins after the panel. I had seen the two vampires join the crowd leaving the room and thought if I could track them, I could find out if they were here merely as fans, or if their purpose was more sinister. Tracking vampires isn’t easy, though, with their lack of scent, and I quickly lost them in the hordes of people jostling around. When I’d gone back to the conference room, it was empty. No sign of Ryeka anywhere. I tried following her scent, but there were just too many people crammed into too small of a space.
