The dinner continued normally. Thankfully, Basty’s relatives were all so nice that I didn’t have a hard time getting along with them. They made me feel like I belonged and never once made me feel like an outsider. I already knew some of them because I’ve been friends with Andraa for a long time. But there were still some relatives I didn’t know.
I’ve always known that the Sandejas clan are good people but I only knew that from the point of view of a De Rivera. And as a De Rivera, I was used to people treating us well.
