I must’ve woke up minutes, if not even seconds, after being knocked unconscious from the collision. I knew I couldn’t have been out for too long, because the vehicle was still teetering from side to side; the same way my body was as I hung upside down like a bat in a cave. The vehicle had rolled onto the roof. When I came to, the first thing that I was really able to recognize was the excruciating pain that plagued my body. By no means did I think that whenever I woke up I’d feel fine and dandy, but I figured I’d at least be able to move without wanting to pass out again. I knew I had no broken bones because none of my limbs were at odd angles, but that didn’t mean I hadn’t had some damage done to me.
