My clothing was still damp when I awoke early in the morning, exhausted from the late night. I hadn’t changed my outfit, feeling too clean from the midnight shower to pull myself out of it. I slowly peeled my eyes open, blinking rapidly until I began to get adjusted to the brightness of the blaring sun.
