Chapter 5 Despite the pain that still tugged behind his eyes, Will raised his sunglasses to get a better look. The black hair looked almost blue in the overhead light, but it was the same pixie cut, the same short bangs smoothed down over the same light green eyes. Skin that had looked pale before now looked flawless, delicate, tinged with blue from the veins running just beneath its thin surface. The mesh tank had been traded in for a worn T-shirt, faded but clean, and unhemmed jeans covered those strong, lithe legs. Without the eye makeup, Corey’s face had a fresh, youthful glow. Will made a strangled sound, as if the air had been punched from his lungs. “Shit.” With the shades off, Corey recognized him. That wide mouth turned into a bright grin, and those eyes sparkled with mirth.
