Chapter twoIt was a relief to find the next day that the sun was shining and there was no chance of it raining. Imilda rose early and went straight to the stables. She wanted to look at the horses before they were taken round to the front of the house. The stable hands were all discussing amongst themselves who they thought would be the winner and there was no doubt that the favourite to win the Steeplechase was the Marquis. When Imilda went back for breakfast, she found that all the men were downstairs.
