Mya walked in with my brother’s wife, covered in mud. Of course Kade burst into a loud laughter.
“I take it you tried to chase after the animal for tonight’s feast?” Kade asked her.
I squinted my eyes at him before I turned back to my wife, who was not smiling at his question at all. She looked at me and rolled her eyes before she headed up the stairs to clean herself up. Chantay turned to her husband and shook her head.
“That wasn’t nice.” She told him in a calming tone.
“What?” He asked her, wrapping his arms around her.
I sighed before I headed up the stairs as well.
“I’ll wait for you outside.” Kade said as he walked off with his wife.
