Swirling around in my leather chair, a mischievous smirk tugging at the corners of my lips, I absently twirl the pen in my hand as I gaze out of the towering windows of my office, the city skyline a mere backdrop to my thoughts. My mind is consumed with the intricate details of my master plan, meticulously crafted to rid myself of the burdensome presence of my sons and finally attain what I covet most. However, before I can revel in the satisfaction of my scheming, a sharp knock at my door disrupts the tranquility of my machinations, causing the smirk to falter and vanish from my face. Whoever dares to intrude upon my solitude must have a matter of utmost importance to warrant such an interruption.
