Pain. Agony. Misery. There were many words Aria could describe her current state of unconsciousness; those three were the first to come to mind. And then nothing. The torment suddenly stopped. Her bones didn’t ache, her heart wasn’t hurting, and she no longer needed water. She felt desolate. Hollow. She knew Sapphire was no longer a part of her soul. She felt it when the rejection tore the pair of them apart, the worse sort of pain than what she physically experienced.
