Secret technique

'As expected of my master, straight to the point. I need to put my plan into motion. If one thing staying here has taught me is that I might come against creatures that are of ridiculous strength anytime. I am starting to wish I was a character with ridiculous 'Plot armor', mmmmm... NO! I still hate that.' "There is not that much left, but I am willing to give you as my master for this past year what I have left if you are willing to trade for it." 'This little brat! So, he really does know how much value that oil has, but he puts it on like it was a cheap lotion he got out on the streets. I swear, if I see him put it on for no reason whatsoever when he finishes washing himself like he does every time, I am going to strangle him to death.' Zararloch was at his wit's end about how something so valuable was treated like an everyday item. "What do you want?" That was the question Sheyken was waiting for. "3 things; a good weapon, something that can help me beat an opponent that can use mana and a Teleportation scroll." As soon as Zararloch heard the last part, he outright laughed at his face. Seeing him laugh for the first time since he was there, Sheyken did not feel good. His laugh was even more unpleasant than Violentiam's. Zararloch remembering something then quieted down. "I thought you had lost your mind when you said a Teleportation scroll but I just remembered that you did lose your memories." Sheyken smiled at the statement. "Child, the first two I can trade with you depending on how much of the oil you willing to give, but the last one is impossible. In order to teleport, you need a ridiculous amount of mana, a teleportation formation, and another teleportation formation that should be where you want to go. That is why many travel by land or by air unless you are rich in mana crystals, have a powerful mana core or a Blessing of Teleportation which is as rare as your Blessing. As far as I know, there has never been a teleportation scroll." 'Curse all those anime and novels! They would talk like teleportation is as simple as walking. I need to reevaluate what I have read again. These authors like to put a spin on the Guardian's children story they were writing about, busy wanting to make them cool. I swear.... is the Guardian of Literature even doing his job right?' Sheyken sighed while thinking about the authors he gave his piece of mind to. "Then what do you suggest." "I was going to trade you one of our countries' secret techniques, but you already asked for two things. How much oil are you willing to trade for them?" "Two liters for both. I will be left with less, but for the secret technique I am willing to give one more liter." Sheyken said hurriedly so as not to miss on a once-in-a-lifetime technique. "Deal!" Zararloch said with a hurry too, so not to lose on what he thought was a steal. "You will get the two items later, for now, let us start with the technique. let us go back to the training room." They stood up and soon were in the training room. Zararloch took a sword then stood like he would when they were about to spar. Sheyken took out his heavier sword from his storage space and waited. He had grown used to it and was now proficient in using it just like the short sword, the only difference being that he would offset the heaviness of the sword by using his telekinesis. "No, take the other one out. You will be fighting like your life depends on it. So, you will need to concentrate all your blessing on your defense if you don't want to die." Zararloch said like they were having a casual conversation. 'I swear everyone here wants to kill me every now and again. First, Arloch wanted to dissect me, Cumfureres almost split my soul in two, Tenebris was about to become a scorned existence that would haunt me if I rejected her proposal and Sanguis already made me experience death so many times in just a second, now you want a test of my death gage master. Here I was thinking you were different from those bustards, but I guess an undead will always be an undead. At this point, I might even say I already have that plot armor I hate so much.' He replaced the heavy sword with the short sword while not daring to voice out his grievances. "As I said, this will be a fight for your life." After saying those words, Zararloch dashed like he did the first time he was to show him sword techniques. Not giving Sheyken time to even ask any questions. He came at Sheyken with a downward s***h twice the speed of what he was currently training Sheyken using. This surprised Sheyken, but he managed to calculate where he would strike and tried to parry the attack since it was too late to try and dodge. He was surprised again to learn that the strike was almost two times the normal strength he was used to fighting against his master. The swords met and as expected Zararloch's pushed down with power, almost cutting Sheyken's shoulder but stopped just an inch above his skin. By this point, Sheyken had over the months of the constant training of his telekinesis successfully develop his own defensive field. He was able to train in three ways he wanted his field to work one by one and combined the three fields into one which was better than having to produce three different fields at once. It lessened the burden on his mind when he was able to achieve his first goal. They were; Repulsion - Which causes surrounding objects to be moved away from him at a variable speed and intensity. Aversion - To cause surrounding objects, especially projectiles, to avoid his immediate location. Push/Pull - To pull objects towards him or to push objects away from him. He was able to put push or pull effect to the defensive field one at a time. This made it as steady as possible because putting them both on at the same time would cancel each of them out. He could change the effect anytime he wanted to. After managing to combine these effects into one defensive field, he just called it Force field and thereafter praised his naming sense. Seeing this, Zararloch was now edger to test Sheyken's woefully named defensive field. Immediately changing his attacks to Sword wave, he continued his barrage on him. Sheyken was on the defensive from the barrage of the powerful and also quick Sword wave attacks that were looking for any opening. He could not parry them to regain his composure, only being able to block them. The power was making him lose his balance and his dominant right hand was starting to hurt. Seeing a stabbing attack coming for his heart that he could not avoid, he used one of his telekinesis skills 'Maneuver'. It would enable him to alter an object's directional course. It also made his mind reach its limits faster. Feeling an ever so slightly force on his arm going all the way up to the tip of his sword pulling his attack to the side, making him miss with an attack that he was sure would land, Zararloch was starting to feel a sense of being proud which was a feeling alien to him. Any feeling he had belonged to his master, but the disciple he was pretending to be the master of was showing growth that anyone would be proud of. Seeing that he had successfully evaded the stab with his Maneuver skill, Sheyken quickly took a step to the opposite side while switching his sword from his right hand to his left. His right hand was already throbbing from the powerful strikes. He tried to take some steps back, but only managed one as Zararloch would not let him find his composure. Seeing this, Sheyken put in motion plan B. He hasn't been running up and down the mountain like a scared rabbit looking for a hole to hide in for nothing. Taking on the following strike from Zararloch while knowing it was going to be as heavy and powerful as the previous ones, he made his body light-weight and while blocking the strike, he allowed it to push him back. He then turned around while fleeing to the far side of the room. Seeing this, Zararloch was regretting teaching him all this. What he wanted to show him was now taking longer. He wasn't going to increase his strength again as he did not want to give him an irreversible injury. Since he had enough of Sheyken's battle prowess, he quickly chased after him and as he had double his speed, he caught up in a flash. He ran across him and then turned while striking with an upward s***h. Sheyken had no time to slow down or dodge. He tried to block it as he was crashing into the strike, but the sword slid past Zararloch's sword since it was at an angle. After having stopped almost a meter past Zararloch, Sheyken had several wounds on him. A long wound from his belly to his shoulder was gushing out blood, it was from the upward strike. On his back, he had two crisscrossing slashes that looked like an X and a stab wound on his right back shoulder. All of this wherefrom one technique, Fluid sword. As Sheyken crashed into the strike, Zararloch after inflicting the wound on Sheyken's front, then changed his movement of the sword into Fluid sword. Sheyken's Force field had weakened due to the wound on his front upper body which allowed Zararloch's flowing attacks to land on their mark even though Fluid sword was not powerful as the other sword techniques. If Sheyken did not have his Force field, the wounds would be even deeper and life-threatening. This was what it meant to fight with your life at risk, even though he was at risk ever since they started training on the first day. They were using real swords after all. Sheyken was tired and bleeding profusely. He set on the ground expecting a red potion to be thrown at him. He was shocked to see a purple tube-like container thrown at him instead. "Take it every hour until your wounds heal. Also put that oil of yours on the wounds, the ones you can't reach with your hands my clone will apply it for you." 'He really wants to kill me, please... please Apophis, make him at least say what the potion is for. Strike him with lighting or something before I die because this guy doesn't explain things.' While he was still asking his heavenly father for help, his eyes widened. Zararloch was continuing his explanation. "The purple portion is a blood portion. We shall do this after every three days from now on. It will allow your body to obtain a passive healing ability by making it heal by itself with only a little help. This can only be achieved during your growing phase where you still don't have a core because once you have one, your body can only heal by external healing mana, energy, or naturally by itself. It will take longer to heal by itself naturally and sometimes you would die from infection if you are not treated." 'Wow! he is really explaining everything, did you really do something from up there old man?' "By training your body to heal itself now, it will gain a passive healing ability, making the process of natural healing much faster and more effective since it doesn't use mana. You would see scars on individuals who practiced this technique because natural healing leaves scar tissue. Others just like you have an oil or herb that would help with this. That is the secret technique. Many do not know about this. So, once you tell anyone, I shall take it as the go-ahead to turn you to an undead." Sheyken was just amazed by the miracle that unfolded in front of him that he forgot to take the first sip and was already feeling the effects of blood loss. Quickly taking a sip of the portion, he could not help but wonder if all those words came out of his master's mouth. 'Apophis, you are a miracle maker.' He thought while seeing his master disappear from his sight. In the laboratory, Zararloch was feeling thirsty for the first time in his undead life from all the talking a moment ago. "You did well Zararloch. Three liters of oil might be almost all he had left." "I try my best to follow your orders my liege." Zararloch replied with his nose held high. "Three liters for just a weapon, an attacking spell, and a technique I just came up with. More than half of the things we have here are less valuable than this oil. He could have traded it for even ancient items if he was lucky. It is our luck that we chanced open him first. Let's give him one of our best weapons and a one-use item. This will make it a good deal for him. We don't want him changing the deal now, do we?" Arloch had been studying the oil's effect by studying Sheyken's blood that Zararloch would collect from his Sword after their sparring. She noticed his body had already started having a healing ability but it was hard to notice it from his blood alone and it took time. She developed this experiment to try and see if they can speed up the healing rate of his body. She then told Zararloch to tell him it was a secret technique and the other gibberish that made Zararloch thirsty. If it fails, they will blame it on his body and if it succeeded, she would finally have something concrete of the oil's capabilities and they wouldn't have had to kidnap a test subject. The bonus was that Sheyken was using his own oil for all this, they thought. As Sheyken was thinking of all the ways he would be able to use this self-healing ability while still losing some blood in the training room, he was oblivious that at that point, he was a test subject.
