I woke up the following day to the feeling of Roman's lips leaving a trail of kisses down my bare spine. I smiled but kept my eyes closed. I just wanted to enjoy the wonderful feeling.
Roman retracted his rejection, and we spent the night getting to know one another, laughing, watching tv, and being intimate. We missed Cesar's dinner party, completely forgetting about it while we spent the entire night getting lost in each other's eyes. I was in a headspace I had never been in. I had been in love before, but the connection with Roman was different from that- more powerful.
I didn't want the night to end. I didn't even want to get out of bed. But it was time to leave Red Wood.
