The Future

I still had no idea where I would be taken but along the way. This metal object suddenly stopped as one of the guys with me got out from the metal object. I then hear there’s a lot of noise but when the man closes the metal object. I didn’t hear anything at all as all of the noise I heard immediately went away. 

“Tch, you anti-demon faction should stop this protest… You do know it’s disturbing the peace that we had in this area.” 

“I already said that I am not one of them! Is there any way for me to prove it to you… I had done nothing wrong at all.” 

“Even if what you're saying is true, I still can’t let you go as you are trying to threaten a demon back then with your sword.” 

“About that, I am indeed very sorry, I just thought that the demon was dangerous and trying to harm that woman. I never thought that they’re husband and wife.” I said that. 

“The demon is dangerous, that absurd nowadays. You do know that the elf race was much more dangerous now… “ 

“The elf!? Why would they be dangerous… Wouldn’t they be a peaceful race?” I asked him as I found it unbelievable. 

There’s no way that elf could be dangerous as they were the most peaceful race I ever encounter in my whole life. It’s kinda hard for me to believe that kind of thing as I have met their kind before in my life. 

“Are you trying to make me laugh!” The man is trying to regain his composure after saying that. “Do you remember what year it is now?” 

“Of course I remember, it’s the year 1011,” I said that to the man. 

When the man heard that, he immediately burst into laughter once again. I do not know what were the things that were so funny that made him laugh. I know it is 1409 year right now despite what they all have been saying a thousand years has passed.

“Did you knock your head somewhere? It’s already year 5601 right now… 1409 that is funny.” That man said that. 

I was really surprised when I heard that I was in the year 5601. I just thought that I was in a different continent when I saw all of the unusual things that I saw or I was just in some kind of illusion that Xarkes put me in. It’s kinda hard for me to believe that I was in the year 5601 now. 

I then realized that it might be true that I had ended up in the year 5601. Xarkes was a Demon God of Time and I think it was in his range of power to send someone to the future. I think that was probably it as this was the magic that Xarkes cast on me back then. 

There are still things that I needed some confirmation to make sure that I was indeed in the future and not in a completely different world. As Xarkes was also once a God, he might have that kind of ability. 

“Do you know Xarkes, The Demon God Of Time?” 

“Who wouldn’t know that, Xarkes was the one who brought peace between humans and demons.” The man said that. 

Another thing that makes me very surprised to know that Xarkes was the one who brought peace into this world.  I think there will be a lot of others as well that will also be shocking news to me. 

But first I need to convince the man that I am not part of the anti-demon faction. I need to get out from this metal object that has been holding me these past hours. Ever since I entered this metal object, I couldn’t cast any spell at all. I think it might be because this metal object had been enchanted by magic that would disallow any people to cast magic in it. 

Then, the other man re-opened the metal object from the outside and asked his friends to help him drive away from this anti-demon protest of the street. 

“Alright, I help you… You do know I hate handling those people, they’re never nice to us.” The man that walked out from the metal object. 

There’s nothing I could do inside the metal object besides watching the two men behind the glass. I do see the two men walking up to the people that might be the anti-demon guys that both of them have been talking about. It seems like they are trying to talk with them. 

It didn’t take that long for them to resolve the issue as the two men were walking back to this metal object. I noticed that the anti-demon people were searching for something in between their clothes. 

They then draw out a weird metal thing that I know nothing of. It has a really weird design and my guess was it was a magic staff of this era. They seem to be aiming those staff towards the two men. 

I then realized what they were trying to do and wanted to warn the two guys but they couldn’t hear me at all. I even tried to hit my body with this metal object but it was to no avail as both of them still did not react to me at all. 

I do not know how to get their attention, I then remember about the glass as maybe they could see me through it. I then began to make moves but both of them didn’t notice that I was moving at all. They both were still talking casually and didn’t even realize there’s danger behind them. 

Both of the guys suddenly stopped moving and I saw them fall to the ground. Seeing that I can confirm that the anti-demon people just killed both of the men. When both of the men were killed, the anti-demon guys seemed to be heading to this metal object.
