Pheyus, Shayla, and their Tursiops hosts spent much of the morning hunting for food. In this case, the larger Delphine were better at it than the Stenella, since Pheyus and Shayla normally relied on food scouts when traveling in the company. The Tursiops, on the other fin, always fended for themselves. Despite Shayla’s wild and unknown course from the day before, the group was anything but lost. The superior navigational skills and sonar capabilities of both races left them with no question as to their location, and the approximate whereabouts of where they had left the company.
