Manuel Balelo probably fashioned more self-confidence than anyone Heather had ever met. He sat behind the large oak desk with his shoulders back and chin high. His dark blue eyes beamed with the pride of his position, as he leaned forward in his high-backed leather chair and looked at Heather. As with most people she interviewed, Heather tried her best to quickly sum up as much information about the person as she could before asking any questions. With Manuel Balelo, there was a lot to sum up. He was very Portuguese in his appearance. In fact, he actually resembled her father in many ways, with the slightly graying black hair and olive skin.
