“In spite of the Geisha girls?” Karla asked.
“To be quite honest I found them extremely boring,” the Marquis responded. “They laughed, looked pretty and played games, but that was all.”
Karla looked at him in surprise.
“What else did you expect them to do?” she enquired.
The Marquis did not reply. He was remembering once again that Karla was very innocent.
