Bob Salvador rolled in bed toward his wife, “I have not slept well since our son disappeared.”
He looked at Celine, who replied, “Me either. Should we call the police?”
Bob grabbed her hand. “No, because he is trapped many years behind our time. How are we going to explain that?”
Celine sat up in bed. “I don’t know. I just want our son back. I even have to go to John’s school because I received a letter from the principal questioning his absence.”
Bob rose from his bed and tightly hugged Celine. “Things will get better. I promise.” They wiped each other’s tears.
