The wedding was postponed. It had to be. Not even the looming threat of Venera’s cold disapproval would make Allegra marry a man – or being she had known for that short a period of time. As little as she had been looking forward to marrying Niklaus, at least the two of them had the benefit of getting along with one another. They bonded over the fact that their families pushed them into the union and a great camaraderie was formed.
