Chapter 9 : The First Mission

"Why you possess Fredd? Are you crazy !?" I told her, but she didn't speak, and she suddenly attacked.

At his speed, I could not avoid the blow to my stomach. I jumped. I was holding my stomach because of the heat.

I immediately stood up when I felt him come closer. I acted quickly to avoid him. My body was a little warmer because of her. I do not know why I feel this way when Fredd is in my presence or when he is nearby. I also get agile, and I get stronger. I use my senses well, and I feel something flowing in my body. This is how I felt when we first met.

"Whip of Sin!" he says.

Two lit lenses came out of his hands, and he attacked me immediately. I just avoided him. Sometimes I avoid it, and sometimes I get bored, but to cling to it is just like an ordinary rope. It hurts a lot, but it loses.

As he attacked me, I just lit it, and there I had the opportunity to get close to him. His reaction was also quick, so he walked away from me. But because I have a unique strength when I'm with him, I miss him a little.

"Solar ball !!" she screamed backward at me.

There were two large yellow circles in his palm, and for a moment, energy balls were coming out of it and attacking me. With that attack, my body got stronger, and I got faster. I do not know why my body is reacting to it, but I do not want to think about it anymore, and I'm just going to fight Karlene.

The attack hit the whole field. It has round holes and sometimes is broken. I was spinning around the field to avoid his attack, and I was doing well. When I saw an opportunity, I quickly ran behind her, and with my fist, I punched her back. He threw himself down and fell to the floor.

When I looked at my fists, this yellow light seemed to him a while ago. I do not know how it happened, but I feel like my strength is up!

"What's going on here !? Why is Fredd there !!?" shouted a woman's voice.

I turned around and saw Gladiola. The Plant manipulator.

"What are you doing here, Glad?" I asked him.

"I'm not Gladiola. I'm Karlene !!" she screamed, which raised my eyes.

Does that mean, Fredd is my opponent !!!? Karlene didn't possess her !!?

I saw Fredd standing up from the fall, and he was looking at me sharply again. he turned and left the field, so I approached Karlene with Joan and Cyntia.

"I thought you were my enemy !!" I said to Karlene.

"But in fairness, you're good, Ezi! You face Fredd, you fight perfectly, and you get knocked him down !! You are really awesome! How did you do that, Ezi? " Joan complimented and questioned me.

I honestly do not know either. When Fredd was in front of me, it seemed like I was growing up, becoming agile, and now, I have a magic trick coming out of my fists like him," I replied to Joan.

"Can't you be an Apolaki’s Carrier? And being your nullifier is just your sub-magic?" I just shrugged off what Joan said.

"I do not know. My parents are normal people, and they do not have any magic. Maybe I need to learn to play it myself, so I know what I'm going to do," I told her.

The training continued, and by the time the next class came, we both attended.

Two more weeks passed, I say my stay here was good. They were all preparing for the upcoming Battles, while I do not know what to do. I was also preparing but not so much because I knew that I could not stay there and not participate. If the training, I would also training but not as much as their dedication and desire to win the Battles.

"Where are the masters?" I looked at my seatmate when he asked.

Actually, I am looking for Joan for a while. Maybe she is somewhere or busy with something.

"Are you looking for Fredd?" I looked at him because of his question.

"Why would I look for him? I'm looking for Joan!" I tell him, and he smiles at me.

"I'm just asking, Fag! do not be so obvious!" he lamented with my answer.

A few minutes later, Mr. Salud started to talk. As always, anyone who didn't want his class could go out and do whatever they wanted.

Our class was light during the day. Vincent and I both went to the canteen for a meal and then returned to our classroom.

We had to wait a little while before our teacher, Mr. Olah, our Potion Teacher.

Here at Potion, we study various important potions such as Enhancer, Healing, and many more that we can use during battle or on a mission.

"Before we start our lesson, I have a call on Mr. Ventura," I immediately stood up for what he had said.

"Headmaster wants to talk to you," he told me.

Me? Why does Headmaster want to talk to me?

I took my belongings before leaving the room. I told Vincent to take notes so that I would ask him what they were studying.

I was walking alone. I still meet some students. When I arrived at the Headmaster's Office's front door, I knocked three times, and when it opened, I entered immediately.

As I entered, Joan and Isagani, who stood on either side of the Headmaster, I greeted them.

"Do you want to talk to me, Headmaster?" I asked Headmaster.

"Yes, Ezekiel. I am calling you today for something important," he answered me with a smile.

"Ok, let us start. Antoria is facing a major problem now. The king and queen have received news that Sitanians are attacking some parts of our world. What is the reason? Because they are looking for magical stones, it is called “The Miracle Stone.” The Miracle Stone has seven stones. According to legend, anyone who can build these seven stones has the opportunity to fulfill any request," Headmaster explained to us.

"Legends? Does this mean that this is not true and fabricated?" I asked.

"You have a point, Ezekiel. When they tell a legend, they say it is not true, and they are just works of imaginary people but do you ever wonder why and who created Myths? Perhaps someone has actually witnessed this story, or has anyone experienced it so interpreted its different generations, isn't it? " he answered.

"And, as far as I can tell, there was a stone found by the Sitanians. This stone they found in northern Antoria as written in the Guide to Miracle," he added and showed to book to us.

It is just thin. The cover comes in a variety of colors.

Headmaster opened the book and presented a page.

"As it is written, the stone called the" Stone of Land "is found here in Antoria, especially in the North. It is probably now owned by the Sitanians. so I sent other Masters to look for other miracle stones, "he explained to us. That's why other masters are not here.

"So, your Mission will be to find the other Miracle Stone located in the Mortal world. This is why we called you because we know you are familiar with the world from which you came and ..." he stopped, and he looked behind us that we followed. There we saw Fredd winking his eyes at Headmaster.

"And I know you will be a great help," he concluded.

After the talk, we headed back to our dorm to get ready for the mission. He also gave us money to use on our mission, so we had nothing to worry about.

Three in the afternoon. This is the agreed time at which we will meet at the Headmaster's Office. So after I got ready and rested, I walked back to his office.

As I entered, I saw Joan and Isagani sitting in the living room. There was silence as if there are walls between them. I just reached out to Joan, and here we talked about the mission.

I know that there are actually students sent to these, but I never imagine that I will be facing this even I was new here. Yes, Fredd was with us, but I was still a little nervous.
