Late in the night thunder rumbled; the deafening sound didn’t allow Simone to sleep. Not that she slept for longer than three or four hours but that night something about the air wasn’t right that she felt like staying up till late but now that she was up, the restlessness refused to let go off from her bones. And right then, she heard something unlocking outside. Alerted, she sat up straight; pulled her gun from the nightstand, and on her toes walked out of the room to catch the culprit red-handed. She opened her room door slowly, making sure that she doesn’t make a noise and allow the intruder to flee away. There was no possibility anyone could have entered her den now.
