Chapter 71: Marching disaster

The roof is secure, food is secure, and money is secure. I could stay here in the capital city for one week before going to my next destination. There are lots of things here to enjoy. This is not an ordinary monster… This one is a demon.

The adventurers in the guild get their weapons and go into high gear. They surrounded the demon with confident looks on their faces. As if saying that “They have the game in the bag”.
A giant knight covered in white armor with high golden lights arrived. With a big smile on his face, he took a glance at the demon carefully. Presenting how brave he was, he took his giant sword. The sword is more like a huge chunk of metal instead of a sword.
Just with a glance at his sword, everyone knew how heavy it was.
“The champion is here… He's going to face the demon by himself.”
“The demon is so unlucky… everyone Champion Langara defeated was quashed to a pulp.”

The adventurer cheered up.

The guild bar wasn’t the only one that was attacked. The whole capital city is being attacked. Crimson flames could be seen enveloping the buildings.
I landed on the rooftop and saw a beggar strolling on the street casually.
“Runaway to the east! That is the place with fewer monsters.”
I warned.
He didn’t listen, or maybe he completely ignored me.
“We’re all done… The knights will have their priority in the inner layer and middle layer. All of us in the outer layer will die in this terrorist attack! We’re all going to die here!”
A beggar shouted while walking in the streets.
Behind his back are hordes of zombies. He turned his face to the zombie, spreading his arms with a big smile on his face.

His body got eaten completely by the zombies.
No knight is responding yet. Seems like the beggar is saying the truth. The higher up only know their safety. During this time, only the adventurers could help out.
I have to save everyone.
I’m not sure if I can… Am I able to save everyone after this horror?

A giant red dragon, a long flying serpent, a whale with legs stomping on everything on its way flat, a turtle as big as a hill and a shell made entirely with blue crystals, a giant slimy slug, and a giant humungous giant head of a human with intestines whirling like a tornado.
The gate around the city was immediately breached like it was nothing.
While I was in a daze…, an explosive punch directly hit me in the face. Blasting me to the church tower toward the bell. The bell rang loudly, nearly breaking my eardrums. The pain from the impact surges all over my body. Despite being indestructible with my magic. I still could feel pain from an attack.
“The bomb demon is still after me… Who is this one?”
Right beside me a man whose body was entirely covered with flames showed himself.
From his hands, he manifested giant flames in an attempt to burn my body to charcoal. I moved against the flames, grabbing his head and slamming him into the bell. Making another loud ring.
“Lightning punch!”
I destroyed the flame demon’s head. , further, moving at a higher speed. I went toward the bomb demon and cut off her head with my dagger.
Life is important… I might not be able to save everyone in this city, but at least I could reduce the casualties.
