Chapter 64: A few screw loose

A demon can only be killed by destroying the heart inside of its body. It was one of the most basic things an adventurer must know. I wonder where he is hiding his heart? The huge explosion happened to destroy most of the train carts. Engulfing them all in flames. Still, the train demon was alive and going for me.

I have to get the demon king's eye.

I rotated my body in a hurry, but it was too late because the demon retrieved the demon king's eye. Replenishing its magical power. The train cars turned into huge chunks of flesh connecting each other. Growing in size Hanayuki didn’t imagine. The demon transformed into a giant black viper. Opening its huge mouth, it sprayed out the violet poison that melted the boulder in an instant.

“This is impossible. Let's just flee away.”

Leona suggested.

She seems to be the kind of woman who doesn’t give up easily. Considering how big her muscles are and the powerful magic she could use.

“I can’t… This monster will kill a thousand or maybe more if I let it go from this place. That’s why I have to defeat it right here and now.”

I replied.

I’m not a hypocrite like Audrey was saying. I’m not doing this because I want to look good to people around me. I’m doing this because this is what I think is the right thing to do.

Having seen the horror it could produce. The adventurers who died inside the train. I won’t allow this demon to have another victim.

“What is your plan?”

The train demon swings its tail, slamming into our position. Leon and I avoided the tail attack.

“Please look after the survivors… I’ll take care of this.”

I said.

“Do you have a plan? The heart seems to be hidden somewhere. My explosive attack was supposed to burn it together with its heart. Searching for it would take some time.”

“I already had a plan… The train monster could still feel pain. I’ll make him feel a pain that he has never felt before. I’ll make him suffer until he tells me where his heart is and picks up to die.”

“A torture… That was the most insane thing I ever heard. A human torturing a giant monster.”

The viper sprayed another poison acid. I grabbed Leona’s hand and threw her toward the survivor's location. Meanwhile, I rotated my body and used the viper's long body as my path toward its head.

Lightning speed!

I ran fast and fearlessly leaped toward its widely opened mouth.

“Stupid! My body is filled with poison… There is no way you’ll survive inside my body.”

My vision got darkened and I fell into the swamp of violet acid.

The acid was supposed to meltdown my body, but it didn’t. That’s because of my almighty lightning speed. Making my body indestructible and unaffected by anything.

Earlier, I got cut by a Demon-king-powered severe ability and I had no idea how it happened. The cut was shallow and not painful enough to make me cry in pain.

Having been able to submerge myself in poisonous acid and not melting proves that I’m indestructible.

I put two lightning swords in my hand and started slicing inside its body. Cutting every flesh I meet the eye.

“Lightning burst the stream!”

The first hit is a horizontal swing from left to right with the right sword, immediately followed by an uppercut with the left sword. The user then jumps up and slashes the target with both swords from left to right while spinning, twice. The user lands facing the target and slashes an X from top to bottom, before inversely slashing the X again from bottom to top. The user then leaps at the target and makes two diagonal slashes from the same starting point, with the left sword heading from top to bottom to the left, while the right sword heads from bottom to top toward the right.

Afterward, the user reverses his grip on the two swords and slashes another X with both swords from top to bottom. The user then does a barrel-roll-like maneuver while slashing at the target, like a corkscrew. The user then slashes another two X's at the target, first from top to bottom and then bottom to top. The user then makes a diagonal s***h with the right sword, top-right to bottom-left, then spins left and uses this momentum to deal a horizontal, right to left s***h with the left sword. The user then, at a very high speed, makes an uppercut with the right sword; then another with the left sword, a downward s***h with the right word, then a downward diagonal s***h towards the right with the left sword, spins, and repeats the previous attack, and thrusts the right-handed sword out. The final s***h is a forceful downward lunge with the left sword.

“Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!”

The train demon screamed in pain. His long body curled and twitched at every single s***h I made inside of his body.

My slashes made holes in his body, making the poison and blood mix and gush out.

One is not enough…

I have to do another…

I gripped my sword tightly.

“Lightning burst the stream!”

“Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

The frightening roar echoed as it screamed above the deep starry night.

“Is this for real? Hanayuki is torturing a demon that big… I can’t believe it’s real… This is insane… Hanayuki is a true demon.”

Leona muttered while having all the survivors on her back, desperately running to flee from the ocean of poison coming from the viper's body.

“Yana told me before… The most terrifying thing in this world is not the demon king… It is the people with a few screws loose.”

Ninym said, looking at the train demon being sliced down multiple times by Hanayuki from a distance.

“Is that still not enough? I still have plenty of magic in my body… Tell me where’s your heart!”

“I won’t! I won’t surrender to a mere human!”

“I see… Lightning burst the stream!”

Hanayuki continues her rampage for hours. From the deep night sky. The sun goes up and goes down again. The frightening roar continues without end. The poison continued to spear around in a 50-meter radius and no one was able to get close to Hanayuki and the train demon.

Three days had passed.

Shaymi was at a far distance looking at Hanayuki who was still giving her all, cutting the train demon. Beside her, Ninym, and her spirit friend, Snow, walked. Ninym handed over ice cream to Shaymi and together they enjoyed their ice cream.

“Are they still fighting?”

“Yeah… I wonder when this battle will end.”

One week had passed…

Still, on the fight.

Two weeks had passed.

Everyone is now used to the roar they hear. They just ignore it and continue living their daily lives.

And finally, after one month of fighting. The battle ended.

“I give up! I give up! Kill me! Kill me!”

The trained demon gives up on living, presenting his heart to Hanayuki together with the demon king's eye.

The feeling is unnatural for Hanayuki, who has already lost her sense of time. She could not believe that her body was still filled with magical power. As if she had an infinite amount of it inside her body.

It was nothing harmful. That’s why she didn’t think about it.

“Lightning s***h!”

Hanayuki cut the train's demon heart in half. The long, long battle had ended crazily.

Back in Crimonia city.

Hanayuki was serious and stepped on the scale. She was nervous about her weight. She closed her eyes after setting her foot. Opening her eyes slowly.

A big smile appeared on her face.

“Yey! I’m 140 pounds in weight… My side fat got smaller!”

That’s what you get if you don’t eat for months. The miracle is that she didn’t end up dead fighting for one month straight. If a world record could be rewarded for the people with the longest fight. She will surely win it.

Because the result is good. She doesn’t question it. What a carefree girl.

Together with Ninym and Shaymi, she enjoyed her hot bath.
