Chapter Eight: Couple in Trouble.

Siren was trying her best to calm herself while watching Kai and Reika with their commercial shoot.
They are currently shooting a scene wherein Reika would lift Kai's white T-shirt and show the audience his six-pack abs...
Then, they will both drink the health drink they're promoting...
It was obvious that Reika's flirting with her husband, and it's clear as day that she's making her jealous!
What she hates the most is Kai seems to be enjoying it. He just keeps on grinning...
Oh, she had this urge to wipe that stupid grin on his face!
"Okay, cut! That was a good shot, guys! Let's have one last meeting, and afterwards, we can all go home!" the old Director announced.
All of the staff and crew clapped, congratulating each other for the successful shoot...

Two-and-a-half months have passed...
Siren lets out a deep sigh while looking at the calendar hanging on the wall. It's already March, and her role as Kai's wife is going to end soon.
Siren wasn't able to spend more time with her husband. Kai's work schedule is always full. He's doing a lot of commercials, TV guestings and a movie project.
The shooting for their reality was stopped for a week due to his previous work commitments...
Siren's train of thoughts stopped in a halt when she heard the doorbell... She thought that it's Kai...
She quickly stood up and opened the door.
Her smile immediately disappeared when she saw who's standing at the door.
It was none other than Reika.
"Hello, Reika. I'm surprised to see you here..." Siren greeted her.
"Well, if you think this is a friendly visit, the you're sadly mistaken." Reika curtly answered.
"If you're looking for Kai, he's not here. He's at work." Siren informed.
"Of course, I know that! And that's the reason why I'm here. By the way, aren't you going to let me in?" Reika asked, while raising an eyebrow at her.
Siren doesn't want to appear rude, so she let Reika in...

As soon as Reika stepped inside, she started talking again.
"Let's cut to the chase, Siren. I know that your marriage with Kai is just all for the show, and nothing is real. Everything's FAKE... That's why I'm here to remind you of your real position on Kai's life. And please, don't expect Kai to love you because he's such a damn good actor. And besides, he and I have much deeper relationship. We've been romantically linked to each other for so many years, but we can't really say that to the public because our career is our main priority as of the moment." Reika said it all in one breath.
Siren counted one to five to help her to stay calm...
"I won't believe in anything that you just said, not until Kai confirm it himself." she firmly stated.
"Oh is that so? Maybe this evidence is enough for you..." Reika haughtily said, as she threw a magazine that she's been holding unto the table.
Siren picked up the magazine. She secretly gasped in shock when she saw the frontpage photo... She can't be wrong.
She could see Reika, whose arms are wrapped around Kai's shoulders. And just basing on the angle, it's obvious that Kai and Reika were sharing an intimate kiss...
"The paparazzi caught us while we were having a dinner party with the staff and crew. We were celebrating the last shooting day for our movie at that time. We had too much to drink, and I think you already know what happened next." Reika continued with her story.
"Is that all you want to say, Reika? If you have nothing else to say you can leave. And thank you so much for visiting." Siren said, in a sarcastic manner.
But he was actually holding herself back from crying. She was so hurt by everything that she heard from Reika.
"The pleasure is mine, Siren." shot back, and afterwards, she finally made her exit.
As soon as Reika left, Siren collapsed herself at the couch. Her whole body is shaking, and her knees are week like jelly...
And before she knew it, tears started to fall down from her eyes...
"You're really stupid, Siren! How can you fall for someone who's out of your league? And how can you fall inlove with a man who's already inlove with someone else?!" Siren reprimanded herself, and she just couldn't stop crying her heart out...
Later that evening...
Siren closed her eyes tightly when she heard the sound of the door opening. Eventhough she and Kai are together in the same house, they still sleep in separate rooms...
She has been crying all day, and her eyes turned all red and puffy. She doesn't want Kai to see her like this because he'll definetely ask what happened to her...
She feels like her heart has been stabbed multiple times. She's been deeply hurt, but she doesn't have the right to confront Kai about him and Reika.
She's not his real wife, so there's no way for her to talk to Kai about his relationship with Reika...
"You need to pretend that nothing happened for the next two weeks, Siren. After this, you can go back home and just focus on pursuing your dream as a popular actress. Then everything will be fine..." Siren tries convincing herself.

Two weeks passed quickly.
This is the last shooting day of the reality show, "Ever After" which means that this is also Kai and Siren's last day of being a "married couple."
They are currently having dinner at an expensive restaurant for their last dinner date.
And as usual, their special dinner is being recorded by many cameras...
"Are you alright, Siren? Why are you so quiet? Kai curiously asks her. He observed that Siren's not really eating, and she's not saying anything at all...
Siren's been acting weird for the passed few days.
Siren looked at Kai as she forces herself to let out a smile.
"I'm okay. I'm not really that hungry." she doesn't have any choice but to lie to hide her feelings.
"Well, this is our last night together, and I'm feel sad that it has to end too soon. How about you, Siren? What do you feel right now?" Kai decided to ask Siren her current feelings.
"Of course, I'm sad too... But we're still gonna be friends after this, right?" Siren smilingly responded, as she tries to lighten up the atmosphere between them.
Kai frowned in return, after she heard Siren.
"Friends, huh?" he wondered aloud.
