Chapter 41: Visit from Alkem Princess.

People are greeting me. For some reason, I don't really like it... My heart know that, I don't do it for them. I do it for myself and Mashura...
And this people thought that I'm doing all for them. In fact, without Mashura telling me to do it, I might not come out from hiding and just help her kill the Orc Lord...
But hey, Mashura told me if I do it alone, she will give me a reward, And I demanded a Kiss too so, It's a good trade.. I'm pretty strong by myself if something is on the line. I always have been that way.
Anyway. I just enjoy my walk as I waited for the Rhea Absolut to finish upgrading and making the Shoes... I'm pretty bored right now...
I'm just going around the city trying to meet up with Mashura... I really want to meet with her but she's nowhere to be found. There's a chance that she might be back in Rhea Absolut already. But there's just... A CHANCE. Not necessarily mean that she will be there...
As I'm enjoying my walk though, A big and expensive carriage stop me dead on my tracks and the horse just look at me... This horse... Look pretty funny...
Anyway... Both doors open from each side and then a knight comes out first. She's a Lady, a really graceful one. But not really as graceful or strong as Mashura.
She take out a carpet and put it on top of the ground right beneath the door. And then, as expected... A young lady that has magnificent Grace and Confidence comes down...
I don't really like her... I don't like her attitude...
"Good Afternoon. Savi-"
Before she finishes. I immediately turn around and said.
"Fix your attitude before you talk to me, Princess. I don't want to talk to someone who thinks they're a higher rank than me. If you want to talk with me, stand in the same standing as me. I'm standing on the ground, and you should stand on the ground. And with that, we can think of ourselves as Equal."
I started walking away... And then, the Knight says.
"Watch your mouth, you insolent fool."
She draw her sword and then pointed it at me... I turn back around and stare her with the coldest eyes I can possibly can make.
"Huuuh? INSOLENT FOOL? You said?"
This me... You call me Insolent Fool?! I can make a mince meat out of you easily! Don't piss me off!
"Well well, stop it you two. Okay then. If that's what your personality is... Very well. I shall stand in the same ground as 'Commoners'."
I immediately turn back around and then crack my fingers... The Princess just smile when she saw me get a little bit irritated. Well Princess, if you smile when you see me do this. Then that smile will disappear along with your life.
Oh no... Wait... Calm down Alfredo. Don't get too harsh... Let's talk with normal tone and do s**t that we usually do... Calm down. Think rationally. That's why you're a genius in any situation.
"Well, do what you want. It's the road that your citizen make for themselves. Not for you anyway. So, what do the princess of Alkem want to do with me?"
"Nothing oh good sir. I just want to tell you, that you're invited for the audition with the King tomorrow. Along with other three savior that fight the Orc Lord. That's it."
I see. That's a good news. The King from what I've heard from all the stories. Is a wise and charismatic guy. He's not cocky like the Princess... In fact! He loves his citizen. I can't wait to meet him and press the reward!
"Oh by the way Savior. Care to join me for a little bit of Lunch?"
"... If you promise to pay for it, Then I might be interested in joining."
"Of course! You can order for as much as you want and I will pay for all of it."
Alright then. Free food is free food! Although we have a lot of it in Rhea Absolut. There's things that we can only get in the city. Such as Local Delicacies and the Chef Specialty.
And so, I join the Princess of Alkem in the carriage... And then she look at the Knight and said.
"Good job for today. Go back to your post."
"Eh? B-But Princess! Who's going to keep an eye on you?"
"Don't ask my decision. Go."
"Y-Yes!"
The Knight just salute and immediately go away... I look at her and reach toward my Flashbang and Sound Bomb...
"You can drop your guard, Mister... I'm tired of acting like this as well..."
"Eh? Acting?"
What the hell do you mean? You're telling me that you're acting like that for this time? It doesn't make any sense on why you act like that though.
"Yes. Acting... You see, it's normal for Royal Family to have two face. One for the normal life. And one for publicity."
"So what you mean is... That particular face that you just show is just a publicity?"
"Of course! I hate acting all high and mighty like that. But for some people, they like it though... For example, the rest of the Royal Family. They like acting high and mighty like that."

"Yup. Including the King. As a matter of fact, the only other people that act normal like this is my Mother. It's easy to see why though. My Mother is the second wife of the King. The First wife can't make any successor. While My Mother can.
Coming from a Commoner Family. It's hard for us to act high and mighty like that... So, the only thing we can do is just put our publicity face for most of the time."
I see... So that's what's up huh. I know that the King has three wives. And the first wife can't have any successor. While the Second and Third Wife can...
It seems like for now, it's only Princesses that comes out... This Princess is the first princess of Alkem...
"I see... Well, who cares anyway. I'm not the type of person that cares about that trivial matter..."
I rather not care about that matter. I don't want to care about that because I know it will keep me thinking about plans... And I don't want that...
