Chapter 19Johnny stared at Colton’s stripped bed and the garbage bags full of his sketch books. He really didn’t know what he wanted to do. He wasn’t happy with some of his drawings.
The weather radio went off and interrupted his thoughts. Johnny paused for a moment, and relaxed when he discovered there was a tornado watch, not a warning, for part of the southwest coast more than sixty miles away. He checked his weather app on his phone. The tropical depression wasn’t expected to hit their coast for several hours. Only heavy rain was forecast.
His cell vibrated. Brendan had left voice mail. He was surprised he didn’t hear the call. He played the message. Done with exams! Hope everything’s okay.
Johnny texted him back. Glad to hear you’re done. Bet you did great.
