Chapter 15Johnny stood and watched a small school of snook swim by. The sun had started its march down the horizon, casting orange, grey, and yellow shades of light. Pelicans flew skimming the surface, taking flight higher, and then skimming the surface again.
Zach had completed anchoring the boat at Star Cay after he confirmed the depth. It took longer than Johnny thought but after watching Zach for several minutes, he couldn’t help but marvel how meticulous Zach was.
“Can I help?”
“You want to get the bench cushions out and lay them out, so you and I have a place to lie down and look up and watch the clouds?”
Johnny grabbed the cushions and did as he was told. Zach had also pointed to some extra towels he had brought from his house.
