Kira took a deep breath as she approached Chloe's room. The two guards at the front of Chloe's room blocked her entrance, preventing her from entering. "You are not permitted in here," one of the guards told her. "The king forbade anyone from entering here."
Kira took a step back, forcing a smile on her face. She was aware that arguing with the guards would be futile because she would be ignored. She had heard when Nolan gave the orders, and the Royal guards were fiercely loyal, so allowing her would be a major issue. "You don't want me to come in, do you?" She inquired, but none of them responded. They kept their faces straight and didn't give Kira the attention she desired.
