Kira whimpered in pain as her eyes fluttered open. She blinked as she stared at the chandelier above her. She groaned out in pain and tried to get up from the bed, but she couldn't as a muscular arm was wrapped around her waist. Kira turned her face to look at who owned the arm. She gasped when she realized that it belonged to Nolan. Kira wondered how she got there, and then the memories of getting whipped on the back flashed in her head. She winced in pain as a wave of pain hit her head and her groans woke Nolan up. Although the pain in her back had reduced, it still brought bad memories for her.
