We were lead to the pack house. Along the way, many of the Evergreen Pack members were stealing glances at us. I could hear faint whispers too soft for even my werewolf hearing to make out what their words were. Nova seemed unphased by them. Their pack house was nothing glamorous. It was made of brick and surrounded by the evergreen trees that made up the nearby forests. It smelled of pine and lavender throughout the area. It seemed almost peaceful, and I started to hope that this could be the place for us. Maybe we really could have a home here. Maybe they would be willing to share information about what happened to my pack. My heart longed for answers, but yearned even more for the faces I would never see again. I couldn't look weak here, not now. I shoved those thoughts in the back
