So many had attended, they were broadcasting it outside the building. Thousands lined up to honor their lives. It was an attendance never recorded in history. Their story was recorded in history books. Their lives are being told for years to come. The council erected a statue of them standing in their full gear, their tattoos clearly defined. Their shoulders touched. It stood 20 feet tall easily. Their eyes showed the fierceness of their loyalty. At their feet laid a demon-looking entity with its mouth open as though it was about to release a scream. Leo’s foot standing on the demon. Galadin watched as they were celebrated. The Concurrence made a holiday in remembrance of what they had done. Each year the festivities were grand and boisterous. Parades, plays, and songs were created in their memory. Their presence is absent from court Oh, but do not fear, Their great deeds persevere Galadin lived on in a quiet life. He never talked to Leo’s father again. Keeping this secret hidden from the world around them to keep their memory free of tarnish. Preserving their great deeds and sacrifices. Greater demons would always have their schemes and plots to destroy the world. Their sacrifice fueled a school to be opened specifically to train an elite group of warriors that were to take on greater demons. The founders were none other than Leo’s parents. Many applied for attendance, but only those that could prove themselves were given entrance. Days got quieter. Life got softer. Loss grew as time moved forward. Galadin got to witness for centuries, the memory of them lives on. Long after, Leo’s family passed away one by one. It wasn’t how anyone wanted it to happen, but Galadin was visited by Leo and Abby throughout the years. Their beauty was indescribable.
